From Ernest Holmes, “Everything is a constant process of growth. Life doesn’t care about your comfort. It cares about your evolution”.
Intimately knowing Kathleen Lenover since 1971, I feel quite qualified to offer some insight into her evolvement. I share my story as I see it not to put her on a pedestal. She already is that for many of us who knew and loved her. But rather as a mirror into ourselves and what is possible.

Kathleen’s father, an abusive alcoholic, ran a salvage business. Was it an escape at 18 for her to enter the
convent, or back in the day, the orthodox Catholic propensity for the oldest girl to do so? She knew well the vows of poverty. Leaving the order was more difficult than entering. Am I abandoning my God or reaching for a fuller expression of what is mine to do? Navigating the bumps of entering a secular world, she discovered a talent for sales of varied medium, and she became extremely wealthy. At the top of her game, she was invited to do a video promo for an acclaimed financial planning institute.
With an intent to come from Spirit, Kathleen shared, “I was used as an instrument to verbalize (Science of Mind) Eternal thought so that everyone would get it. I wanted to touch someone’s heart and not fight with their belief system. I wanted to use a language of all human experiences so they would get it. How do I say eternal truth so they would get it?” Kathleen addressed loyalty issues. She shared what she has learned over the years. “We are spirit. Thoughts become things. Be responsible for your thinking. Reflect back appreciation for what you have to your staff and all the people around you. Be real. Be honest. Speak the truth.” Further, “The process of money management (which all of us at ___ are good at) is not the ultimate conversation. It is about using this entry to go deeper with the client about what they are about, reflecting it back to them, guiding them with thoughts become things”.
Outgrowing working FOR financial firms, Kathleen evolved through a deeper calling to begin her own financial firm, introducing a whole new conversation in the industry: conversations about the truth of abundance through the principals of Science of Mind. You can read some of these principals in Sandra Reay’s article As I See It (link).
Ultimately, returning to a powerful symbol of manifesting spirit, Kathleen was ordained. She founded the focused ministry Education for Abundant Living whose mission is a leading-edge global organization, passionately addressing belief, behaviors and outcomes and guiding all to their infinite potential.
I like to imagine Kathleen dancing though life, gliding with her dancing partner together evolving in this lifetime.
I continue to live in the inquiry: Are we here to evolve as individuals or to evolve the planet? What say you? Where are you evolving? Education for Abundant Living continues to be a platform for evolving and invites you to consider a leadership position in carrying the organization forward as well as participating in our upcoming classes.

When Rev. Dr. Kathleen Lenover asked me to be the President of her Board as she began her journey into being a minister for Centers for Spiritual Living, I was concerned that I didn’t have enough religious background for such as position. Kathleen assured me that she needed individuals with educational and business background, and I qualified in those categories. I have a Master’s Degree from Leland Stanford Jr. University, Graduate School of Education, focusing on adult education. I earned a BA in English, and a English Education teacher’s credential,
and Speech and Science minors from San Jose State University.
I spent the first half of my career as the Department Head of Secondary Education at Stephens College after teaching at the University of Missouri. After I moved to Colorado, for the second half of my career, I shifted to the commercial side of teaching where I lead teams that created custom training for Fortune Five Hundred corporations. I was able to help Kathleen in building her organization, in creating her vision and approach, and in completing the requirements for her Focus Ministry in Centers for Spiritual Living.

After working in management in the retail and telecommunications fields, I spent 10 years as an event coordinator for Centers for Spiritual Living Home Office. Following my retirement, Rev. Dr. Kathleen Lenover brought me into her Ministry Education for Abundant Living as a member of the Board of Directors and as a consultant developing the events of Education for Abundant Living.
I am enthusiastic and committed to the values and inspiration of the mission of this ministry. “I believe this concept will make a significant impact on making this world a better place. It is an honor in being a part of this work. We are serving humanity in a meaningful way.”
